Now is the time to buy work by PETER GEE
The prints and posters here are from the 1960s and 70s, many are signed.
Peter Gee was a supporter of the civil rights movement for which cause he made a number of prints including th "Unite" edition of 7
the two Martin Luther King "Drum major" (matt black on gloss black, and black on silver)
an edition of 10 and winners of first prize in a competition commissioned by MOMA.
Peter Gee was a collaborator and significant influence on Andy Warhol and commissioned The Velvet Underground to perform their first major public event - A "happening", a live concert in the window of a Manhatton dress shop window.
Peter Gee born in Leicester, England in 1932. He studied at st Martins art college and influenced by the Bauhaus movement, he taught color theory at Harvard and his work was exhibited alongside Warhol's and Robert Indiana.
His work is exhibited at M.O.M.A. New York City, The Smithsonian Institute, The V&A London, in Zurich, Switzerland and Japan
